I wish to send my heartiest greetings for the upcoming festivals to all the members of the Society.
The 20th SKULLBASECON 2018 was successfully organized at Ludhiana, Punjab from 1st-3rd November, 2018 by Dr. Ashwani Chaudhary, Department of Neurosurgery, DMC Ludhiana. The conference was attended by 252 delegates including 10 international and 49 national faculties. 1st day of the conference was cadaver workshop demonstrated by eminent faculty like Dr. Martin Bettag, Dr. C. E. Deopujari, Dr. S.K Gupta, Dr. P.S Chandra, Dr. Ashish Suri, and was attended by 138 delegates. The conference covered all the important aspects of skull base surgery especially extended skull base approaches, endoscopic approaches, skull base approaches to complex aneurysm, craniopharyngiomas and cranio-vertebral junction approaches.
The mid-term CME was organized on Midline Posterior Fossa Tumors by Dr. Nishant Goyal at AIIMS-Rishikesh on 10th August, 2019. The CME was attended by 60 delegates including 15 faculty. The highlights of the CME were anatomy, surgical approaches, pathology and treatment modalities for midline posterior fossa tumors.
The 21st Annual Conference of the Skull Base Surgery Society of India - SKULLBASECON 2019 is going to be held at the Le Meridian Hotel, Coimbatore from 10th - 12th October, 2019. Dr. Suresh Jayabalan – Organizing Chairman and Dr. Vikram Muthusubramaniyan – Organizing Secretary have put in tremendous efforts to ensure the conference is a grand success. I welcome all the members of SBSSI to SKULLBASECON 2019.
